This course is a repetition of basic statistical methods. The topics include random variables, expected value, variance, distributions, properties of estimators and hypothesis tests. No topics are covered, which are not part of Statistics (Statistik) or Empirical Economic Research (Empirische Wirtschaftsforschung) as courses of the Bachelor studies at the Mercator School of Management.
Participation is voluntary, but recommended especially if you have not studied at the Mercator School of Management before. In the lecture Econometrics (Master), the aforementioned topics are assumed to be known and will not be repeated in detail.
